The celebrated producer recently took to Instagram to discuss various weight loss methods, touching on anti-inflammatory diets, pharmaceutical drugs like Ozempic and other medical interventions. Interestingly, this comes hot on the heels of Ram Kapoor’s strong denial of using Ozempic or undergoing surgery for his remarkable weight loss transformation.
Ekta, in her video, engaged her followers in a candid conversation about shedding extra pounds. “Should I take pharmaceutical drugs like Mounjaro and Ozempic, follow an anti-inflammatory diet, or just keep quiet?” she pondered. However, it was her closing remark that set tongues wagging—“Ya chhod doon, hum bade hi acche lagte hain.” Many speculated that this was a sly dig at Ram Kapoor, whose dramatic transformation has been the talk of the town.
Ram, on the other hand, had previously dismissed rumors about his weight loss methods. In a video response, he firmly addressed the speculation. “First of all, there’s nothing wrong if I did [Ozempic or surgery]. But now, in less than 30 seconds, I am going to prove to you that I have done nothing. This is where I am at, but I am still a work in progress.” He then flexed his biceps, reinforcing his dedication to fitness.
As if the weight loss debate wasn’t enough, Ram Kapoor also opened up about his much-discussed kissing scene from Bade Achhe Lagte Hain during an interview. He revealed that the scene had been Ekta Kapoor’s idea from the start, despite his initial reservations. “Ektaa’s the one who wrote the scene and wanted us to do it. I told Ektaa, ‘Are you sure you want to do this? Television mein kabhi hua nahi (It never happened on television).’ But she was very confident,” he recalled.
Just when the dust seemed to settle, Ekta Kapoor’s latest Instagram post reignited the controversy. In a cryptic message, she wrote, “Unprofessional actors giving interviews about my shows shud shut up! False information N skewed stories can only last till I talk…… but there is dignity in silence.”
