An eight-year-old boy, Sri Tej, remains hospitalized after sustaining severe injuries during a stampede at Sandhya Theatre on the premiere night of Pushpa 2. The tragic incident left him critically injured, and he is currently on ventilator support.
Telangana Health Secretary Christina Z. Chongthu and Hyderabad Police Commissioner C. V. Anand visited the young survivor and provided an update on his condition. According to a leading publication, Commissioner Anand revealed that Sri Tej suffered brain damage due to oxygen deprivation during the stampede.
“The recovery process will be long,” Anand shared, explaining that the child’s brain needs time to regain the ability to process signals. Doctors have indicated that the road to recovery will be challenging.
While fans awaited Allu Arjun’s response, the actor issued a statement on Instagram explaining his absence from the boy’s bedside. He expressed deep concern for Sri Tej and clarified that legal proceedings prevented him from visiting the family at this time.
“I remain committed to supporting his medical and family needs. My prayers are with Sri Tej for a speedy recovery, and I look forward to meeting him and his family at the earliest,” Allu Arjun stated.
We wish Sri Tej a speedy recovery!
