Hyundai unveils the All-New Verna 2023; Check out the details

Hyundai Motor India has officially introduced its new-generation Verna sedan in the Indian market, with a starting price of Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-spec SX (O) 7DCT model costs Rs 17.38 lakh (ex-showroom). According to the business, the new-generation Verna has already garnered 8,000 reservations. Buyers may reserve the new-generation Hyundai Verna for a deposit of Rs 25,000 online or at authorised outlets.

Dimensions of the Hyundai Verna 2023

With a width of 1,765mm and a wheelbase of 2,670mm, the new Hyundai Verna is larger than its predecessor. It has a length of 4,535mm and a height of 1,475mm. The Hyundai Verna 2023 has a boot capacity of 528 litres.

Color possibilities for the Hyundai Verna 2023

The new Verna will be available in four trim levels: EX, S, SX, and SX (O). The 2018 Hyundai Verna will be offered in seven single-tone colour options, including Fiery Red, Typhoon Silver, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Tellurian Brown, Titan Grey, and Starry Night. Atlas White with a black roof and Fiery Red with a black roof are two dual-tone colour possibilities.

Black and Beige (low and mid-spec versions) and Black and Red are the interior colour options for the 2023 Hyundai Verna (higher variants).

Style of the Hyundai Verna 2023

The 2018 Hyundai Verna will be based on Hyundai’s Sensuous Sportiness design language, which the company uses for all of its vehicles worldwide. The new-generation Verna will include split-headlamps, a parametric jewel grille, and a full-width LED DRL strip dividing the bonnet and front bumper. Strong character lines and R16 diamond cut alloy wheels flank the side profile.

Moving on to the back, the sedan has H-shaped linked tail-lamps with an LED light strip that spans the length of the vehicle. Also, the rear has a dual-tone bumper, and the Verna logo is only incorporated in the tail-lamp.

The lower and mid variants of the new Verna have a dual-tone Black and Beige interior motif, while the higher variants have a Black and Red interior theme. The 2023 Hyundai Verna will include a dual-screen arrangement with a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, 64-color ambient lighting, power adjustable driver’s seat, and ventilated front seats. Additional notable features include a dual-function switchable controller, an electric sunroof, an 8-speaker Bose premium music system, and BlueLink connected car technology with 65+ linked features. It comes with three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport.

The 10.25-inch infotainment system includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, Valet mode, and OTA system upgrades. Furthermore, it allows Hindi and English voice commands for features like as opening the sunroof, activating ventilated seats, turning on the air conditioning, and more.

Hyundai is providing new-generation Verna customers with a 3-year free BlueLink membership, which includes SOS calls, geofencing, stolen car immobilisation, a monthly health report, and other features.

Safety of Hyundai Verna 2023

The 2023 Hyundai Verna comes with 65+ total safety features, including 30 as standard. Level 2 Advanced Driver Aid Systems include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Safe Exit Warning, and other features. Six airbags, ABS with EBD, VSM, traction control, TPMS, front and rear parking sensors, and other safety features are included.

The 2023 Verna is powered by an RDE and E20 compliance 1.5-litre NA petrol engine that produces 115 PS and 144 Nm like previously, as well as a new RDE and E20 compliant 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 160 PS of maximum power and 253 Nm torque. The sedan comes standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the coupe has an optional 7-speed DCT. A CVT transmission is also available for the normally aspirated petrol engine. The new Verna will not be available with a diesel engine.

Mileage of the Hyundai Verna 2023

The 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine is reported to have a fuel economy of 18.60 kmpl (MT) and 19.60 kmpl (ST) (IVT). The new 1.5-litre turbo GDI petrol engine gets 20 kmpl (MT) and 20.60 kmpl (UL) (DCT).
