Speaking at the event, Disha expressed her gratitude for being part of the Kanguva team, calling it a learning experience. “I am extremely blessed and grateful to be part of this team. Every day for me was like going to a workshop, learning from incredible people, and working with such talented directors and actors,” she said. Disha praised the close-knit bond the cast and crew developed on set, saying, “We literally became a mini family. They took care of me, especially Suriya Sir, who made sure I was comfortable.”
Disha spoke fondly of director Siva, referring to him as “Teddy” due to his gentle nature. “He is the softest person I know. The kind of cinema he is making is so different from who he is as a person. He just wanted his actors to be happy on set, and that’s what mattered to him,” she added. Disha described her time working on Kanguva as one of the best experiences she has had in her career.
Disha also had high praise for her co-stars. She was particularly impressed with Suriya, calling him humble and kind. “Suriya sir is amazing. Literally, just looking at him every day, his character, and the way his eyes speak is incredible. He is the most humble and kind person,” she shared. Though Disha did not have many scenes with Bobby Deol, she spoke highly of him as well, saying, “Bobby sir is a sweetheart and so talented. You will see him more when you watch the film.”
