Preliminary reports indicate that Mehta contacted Malaika, just hours before his death, reportedly saying, “I Am Sick & Tired.” Authorities are now investigating the significance of this statement.
Anil Mehta allegedly took his own life on Wednesday morning. According to sources, Malaika’s mother shared in her statement to the police that Anil had a daily routine of sitting on the balcony to read the newspaper. Despite being divorced, Malaika’s mother stated that she and Anil had been living together again for the past few years.
Joyce, Malaika’s mother, also informed the police that on the morning of the incident, she noticed Anil’s slippers in the living room and went to check on him. When she did not find him on the balcony, she looked down and saw the building’s watchman calling for help. She also mentioned to the police that Anil had no major health concerns, aside from some knee pain, and had taken voluntary retirement from the Merchant Navy.
Following the tragic news, Malaika Arora issued an official statement, requesting privacy during this difficult time.
