“I Didn’t Shoot Blackbuck”, Salman Khan’s Old Video Is Going Viral

In 1998, Bollywood actor Salman Khan, along with his Hum Saath-Saath Hain co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, and Sonali Bendre, was accused of poaching blackbucks in Rajasthan. The case has spanned over 26 years, during which Salman has faced multiple arrests, convictions, acquittals, and has been granted bail several times. Recently, the actor has also received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who regard blackbucks as sacred animals and demand an apology from Salman for the alleged incident.

Amid these ongoing legal battles and threats, an old 2008 interview of Salman Khan has resurfaced on social media platforms like Reddit, reigniting discussions about the blackbuck case. In the clip, the interviewer refers to Salman as a “victim of ignorance” and suggests that he wouldn’t have shot the animal if he had known it was endangered. Salman’s response was, “There’s a long story there. And… I wasn’t the one who shot the blackbuck.”

When the journalist further pressed Salman, noting that he never pointed fingers at anyone else and instead took the blame quietly, Salman shrugged it off, saying, “There’s no point.” He maintained a relaxed demeanor throughout the interview, even making light of his jail experience by sarcastically describing it as “a lot of fun.”

The resurfaced video has sparked renewed speculation among netizens, particularly on Reddit, where users are discussing the veracity of Salman’s claims. While some continue to question his involvement, many of his fans have come to his defense, insisting on his innocence in the blackbuck poaching case.
