Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has long been accustomed to the relentless glare of public scrutiny, whether concerning his career decisions or his personal affairs. Recently, widespread speculation about his relationship with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has dominated headlines, with numerous reports suggesting marital discord.
While the couple has maintained a dignified silence, refusing to engage with or fuel the gossip, Abhishek has now spoken out about the significant toll such persistent misinformation takes, not only on him but on his entire family.
Reflecting on the emotional impact of these persistent rumors, Abhishek admitted that while he once managed to shrug them off, his perspective has shifted dramatically now that he has a family to safeguard. “Previously, things that were said about me didn’t affect me. Today, I have a family, and it’s very upsetting,” he candidly shared. He firmly believes that attempting to clarify matters is futile, as those who propagate negativity are not interested in the truth. “Even if I clarify something, people will turn it around. Because negative news sells. You’re not me. You don’t live my life. You’re not answerable to the people that I’m answerable to,” he explained, shedding light on the futility of engaging with baseless claims.
Abhishek Bachchan further asserted that those who spread falsehoods must ultimately grapple with their own conscience. “They need to deal with their conscience and answer to their maker. See, it’s not just me. I don’t get affected. I know what the rigmarole of this place is. There are families involved,” he stated, underscoring the considerable emotional burden that such negativity imposes on the entire family unit.
Indeed, such trolling needs to stop as soon as possible.
