We have already seen many deepfake videos of various celebs doing rounds on social media and recently a deepfake video of actor Anup Soni went viral in which he is seen promoting betting in the IPL.
Anup Soni used to host a show Crime Patrol and in this deepfake video, the clips are taken from Crime Patrol and AI is used for creating Anup Soni’s voice.
As the actor came to know about his deepfake video, he slammed it and stated that he will be filing a complaint in the Cyber Crime Cell. He sounded concerned as it is something which can spoil his image, here’s what Anup Soni said, “I plan to lodge a complaint with the Cyber Crime cell. For now, I have asked people to report the video, so that the platform is notified and takes necessary action. Something like this can tarnish my image. Today, you can dub anything and that is scary … not only for me, but for any actor because our voices are identifiable.”
