There is no denying the fact that smartphones have empowered us in many ways but some people use them for bad purposes also like this young IT guy from Kochi.
This IT guy who has been identified as Abhimanyu has been found guilty of recording visuals from the women’s washroom using his smartphone in Lulu Mall. The police revealed that Abhimanyu entered the women’s washroom wearing a burqa and installed his smartphone in a cardboard box, he made a hole in the box for the camera and then he came out of the washroom.
After placing the camera in the washroom, he stood outside the washroom which made the security personnel suspicious and he called the police. The Kalamassery police has arrested him, seized his phone and burqa and now the police is trying to find whether he has carried out such a crime in the past or not.
The young IT professional who is a qualified engineer has been booked under sections 354(C) (Voyeurism) and 419 (Impersonation) of the IPC and Section 66 E of the Information Technology Act of the Indian Penal Code. The local court has sent him for 14 days judicial custody and the police has started the investigation in this regard.
Be careful whenever you use the washroom at a public place, there are many weird people in this world.
