In A Unique Theft, Bengaluru Bus Stop Worth Rs 10 Lakh Disappeared Overnight

Some time back we informed you about a 27 years old female software engineer from Bengaluru who lost Rs. 60 lakh to fraudsters who promised her fake part-time online job. Now one more incident of theft has come in notice but this one is a little unique as a partially bus-shelter vanished overnight.

The stainless structure was being constructed at the busy Cunningham Road and it had a roof, poles and chairs and thieves took everything with them. The bus-shelter was managed by Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) and it cost around Rs. 10 lakh.

The vice-president of BMTC, N Ravi Reddy has filed an official police complaint in this regard and the police has also started the probe in this matter. In the initial part of the investigation, the police are collecting the CCTV footage from the cameras installed in the buildings nearby.

Such an incident clearly shows that there is no fear of police and security agencies in thieves and police certainly needs to take some big measures. What do you have to say in this regard?
