The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is about to start in just a couple of days as the finalists of the 2019 WC – England and New Zealand will clash against each other in the opener of the tournament. The majority of the former cricketers feel that India, Pakistan, England and Australia will be the semi-finalists but there are few who believe that South Africa and New Zealand may spoil the game for the favourite teams.
The experts and former cricketers are also making predictions about the players and former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir feels that Rohit Sharma and Babar Azam will have a great tournament with bat.
During a show, Gambhir stated, “The kind of ability he (Rohit) has. India are playing the World Cup at home. We all know about Rohit Sharma’s record at home. He has three or four double hundreds. So I’m sure he will be really looking forward to and he will be eager to turn it around for India.”
Talking about Babar Azam, Gambhir said, “The kind of technique Babar Azam has, I think he will score three or four centuries for Pakistan in this World Cup.”
