IPL 2023: Which player made the fastest fifty in T20 International Cricket just before the IPL?

Prior to the IPL, cricket was played all over the world. In which fresh records are created. This player set the record for the fastest fifty in T20 International cricket.

The IPL 2023 season is ready to begin, but cricket is being played all around the world in the meanwhile. Nonetheless, the process of making new records continues. Yuvraj Singh, Team India’s left-handed elegant batsman, holds the record for the fastest half-century in T20 International cricket history. With just 12 balls, he scored 50 runs. This is the same match that took place in Durban in 2007 between India and England in a T20 encounter. Yuvraj Singh blasted six sixes in six balls in this match. It has been over 16 years since this record was set, but breaking it is a long shot; no batter in the world has come close. Meanwhile, there was a Liton Das storm in the T20 series between Bangladesh and Ireland.

Today’s match between Bangladesh and Ireland was called off owing to rain. The contest was shortened from 20 to 17 overs. Bangladesh’s openers were Liton Das and Ronnie Talukdar. As soon as they arrived, both began aggressive batting. Liton Das batted smoky on one side, while Ronnie Talukdar batted fiercely on the other. Liton Das’ batting was in such good shape that he reached his half-century in just 18 balls. This is the fastest fifty by a Bangladeshi batsman. Before, in 2007, Mohammad Ashraful struck a half-century in 20 balls against the West Indies. Liton Das has already smashed that record, but he is still way down the list of overall quickest half-centuries.

In the match, Ronnie Talukdar was dismissed after hitting 44 runs off 23 balls. Following that was Captain Shakib Al Hasan, who wholeheartedly backed Liton Das. Liton Das, on the other hand, was unable to reach his century and was removed after hitting 83 runs off 41 balls. He blasted three sixes and 10 fours in this inning. The way Liton Das was batting, it didn’t appear that his century was far away. Nevertheless, he exited in an attempt to score quick runs.

Even after this, Bangladesh has produced a large total in the allotted 17 overs, which Ireland will find difficult to match. Bangladesh won the first match of the three-match T20 series by 22 runs using the Duckworth Lewis System. The last match will be played on March 31, the first day of the IPL 2023.
