The mother of all battles – IPL final was scheduled to be played yesterday (28 May) at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, between the four times champions Chennai Super Kings and defending champions, Gujarat Titans but rain spoiled all the chances of an exciting contest between the two tough teams.
Rain started a little before the toss, though it stopped for a short period of time but then it started again and finally at 11 pm, the umpires took the decision of postponing the match and shifting it to the reserve day.
Now, fans are very much concerned as to how the weather will behave today in Ahmedabad because there are many who have travelled from very far to watch this match and cheer for their favourite team.
As per some weather reports, though it was sunny in morning and afternoon yet it may drizzle in Ahmedabad a little in evening but nothing is of much concern as there are good chances that a complete match will be played today.
The famous commentator Harsha Bhogle hopes for a full game today and he also reveals as to what happens in different conditions. He tweeted, “Hopefully, full game tomorrow. In the unlikely situation that we can’t get even a 5 overs a side game, there will be a super over. If even that is not possible, the team that finished higher at the end of the league stage is declared the winner”.
Let’s hope that the match takes place today and the best team wins the trophy.
