Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has voiced support for Israel after the Hamas’ attack on Israelis. All sorts of terrorism were condemned by Modi. The Prime Minister’s remarks after the attacks were in support of Israel but no mention was made about the Palestinian cause…

The Israeli army and Hamas fired rockets at each other as the government prepared for a land attack on the Israel-Gaza border in the coming days. The attacks killed 1,200 Israelis (170 military) and 950 Palestinians.

Minister Narendra Modi called Netanyahu yesterday to say “people of India stand in solidarity with Israel in this difficult hour.” Modi said “India strongly and unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.”

Hamas strikes left cruelly slain children, women, and the elderly in Israeli neighborhoods, according to media sources. Hamas holds 150 Israeli hostages in Gaza and has threatened to murder them if civilian homes are struck.

In their first phone chat since the Hamas attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reminded Netanyahu that “the people of India stand in solidarity with Israel in this difficult hour.”

Modi afterwards posted on X, thanking Netanyahu “for his phone call and providing an update on the ongoing situation,” and saying, “India strongly and unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” which the Prime Minister’s Office confirmed.

It was their first phone chat since Saturday, when Hamas attacked Israeli civilians in what may have been the bloodiest attack since Israel’s founding in 1948, but Modi’s message was the same.

Terrorist attacks in Israel severely disturb me. We mourn the innocent victims and their families. “In this difficult hour, we stand in solidarity with Israel,” Modi said.

The Prime Minister’s statements have been seen as totally supporting Israel after the terror attacks and its right to self-defense. But, PM Modi did not mention anything about the Palestinian cause, in his tweets.

Conclusion

The Israeli army and Hamas have continued to fire rockets at each other, prompting suspicion of a significant military buildup near Israel’s Gaza border as the government prepares for a land operation. The attacks killed 2,200 people—1,200 Israelis and 950 Palestinians. Prime Minister Narendra Modi contacted Benjamin Netanyahu to support Israel and denounce terrorism. In Israeli neighborhoods, children, women, and the elderly were brutally killed, according to reports. Hamas is keeping 150 Israelis hostage in Gaza and threatens to murder them if civilian homes are hit. Modi’s statements were interpreted as unwavering support for Israel after the terror assaults.
