Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal is one of the biggest hits of the year and actress Triptii Dimri has surprised everyone with her performance as she has done some intimate scenes in the movie with Ranbir Kapoor. After the release of Animal, Triptii’s popularity increased immensely and her fan following on the social media platforms also increased manifold.
As per the latest reports, Triptii Dimri has been signed for playing the female lead in Aashiqui 3 opposite Kartik Aaryan. A source told an entertainment portal, “Triptii has been the talk of the town following the historic success of Animal and the makers feel that she would set the screen on fire with Kartik Aaryan. The conversations have been on for quite some time and the makers have now locked her as the female lead.”
Aashiqui 3 will be directed by Anurag Basu and the shooting will start in 2024 after the complete cast of the movie gets finalized. The source further added, “It’s a new space for Kartik too and he will be looking to explore the intense side of romance. He has been a graduate of rom-coms and will now be switching zones to another world of love stories. He is also very excited to embark on this journey.”
Earlier there were rumours that Tara Sutaria has been finalized for the female lead in Aashiqui 3 but director Anurag Basu himself put these rumours to rest. Most probably, the shooting will start in the last week of January 2024.
