Legendary actor Jackie Shroff filed a case in Delhi High Court to have his publicity rights and reputation safeguarded. Without his permission, the complaint has been brought against multiple businesses that have used his voice, images, name, and phrase “Bhidu.” A lawsuit has been brought against the companies that are exploiting Jackie Shroff for profit without his consent. It is anticipated that the court will rule in this case shortly, allowing the actor’s publicity rights to be protected.

Additional Bollywood actors who requested publicity rights from the court

Bollywood actors have already asked the court for assistance in defending their rights to privacy and publicity. Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has already filed a petition with the Mumbai High Court to prohibit impersonation and unauthorized use of his voice. However, Anil Kapoor also filed a case with the Delhi High Court last year to defend his rights to his personality. Furthermore, Anil won the case in January and requested that his name, voice, speech pattern, likeness, picture, and gestures as well as the catchphrase “jhakaas” be protected.
