With a gas cutter, two unidentified criminals stole ₹ 29 lakh from the State Bank of India ATM located here, according to police on Sunday.
According to Kotwali SHO Vikrant Sharma, two unidentified robbers stole the ATM that was placed on Bajaj Road on Saturday night.
Sharma stated that a case has been filed and an inquiry is underway based on a complaint that the bank filed on Sunday.
According to him, the robbers had also severed the ATM’s wiring connections and painted black paint on the CCTV cameras that were mounted both inside and outside the machine.
The SHO stated that attempts are being made to use the nearby CCTV video to identify the robbers.
