A man returned stolen gold to demonstrate sincerity and commitment
to community, in Maharashtra. The man returned the gold, worth 3.2 lakh, under a campaign conducted by the police.
In Maharashtra’s Palghar district, a man returned stolen gold thanks to a campaign conducted by the police called “Jana Samwad Abhiyan’s request. An official said on Tuesday that the stolen gold was valued Rs. 3.2 lakh. Balasaheb Patil, the superintendent of police for Palghar Rural, stated in a press release that this was one of the district’s continuing “Jana Samwad Abhiyan’s” success stories.
In English, Jana Samwad Abhiyan simply translates to Mass Communication Campaign. “On May 31, an unidentified individual broke into a home in Mangelwada, Kelva, Palghar, and took gold jewellery valued Rs 3.2 lakh. After then, a lawsuit was filed,” he claimed.
In a dialogue with the people during a “Jana Samwad Abhiyan” gathering, the police asked whomever stole the jewellery to return it in order to demonstrate his sincerity and commitment to the community. A stash of stolen jewellery was discovered at the entrance.
According to him, the police discovered the stolen jewellery on Tuesday at the doorway of a famous villager.
