Hansal Mehta directed web series Scoop is getting praised by audiences for its thrilling storyline, strong direction and superb acting performances of the actors, especially Karishma Tanna.
Scoop is based on the real-life story of an Indian journalist Jigna Vora who was accused of being a part of the conspiracy with underworld don Chota Rajan in regard to the murder of another famous journalist J.Dey. However in 2018, Jigna was acquitted from all the charges and she narrated her experience in the book Behind Bars in Byculla and Hansal Mehta has adapted the book for making his web series, Scoop.
When Jigna Vora was asked in an interview how closely she felt associated with the web series, she said that she was taken aback but also added that this series will show the reality of the male-dominated field and it will be helpful for all those women who want to make a career in this field.
Jigna also praised Karishma Tanna for portraying her character in a great manner as Jigna feels that Karishma has resembled her a lot in the web series.
Jigna said that she survived the tough times because she kept faith in the God, in her karma and in her family and she used to get a lot of strength by chanting Hanuman Chalisa which she used to do 300-400 times in a day.
