Loveyapa is all set to release on 7 Feb and the videos of lead pair, Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor performing the hook step from the Loveyapa title track have sparked mixed reactions online from the fans and the audiences. While some fans appreciated their effort, many criticized the duo for their apparent lack of chemistry and awkward execution of the dance moves. The trolling intensified as viewers pointed out Junaid’s evident discomfort with dancing.
Acknowledging his struggles, Junaid recently admitted that he is not a natural dancer. Recalling his experience working with renowned choreographer Farah Khan, he shared how she ultimately decided to remove his dance portion from the song Rehna Kol. During an interview, Junaid revealed that after observing his performance during rehearsals, Farah decided to let only Khushi dance. She bluntly told him, “Tujhse nahi hoga, tu chalke aa. Khushi se dance hoga, tu baithke dekh isko”—which translates to, “You can’t dance, just walk. Khushi will dance, you just sit and watch her.”
Despite his struggles, Junaid shared that he genuinely enjoys dancing, even if it doesn’t come naturally to him.
As Loveyapa gears up for release this Friday, Junaid is already preparing for his next project, which will see him sharing the screen with Sai Pallavi. Meanwhile, Khushi Kapoor is set to star opposite Ibrahim Ali Khan in Naadaniyaan, a Dharma Productions film that marks Ibrahim’s acting debut.
