Leader of the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi, K Kavitha, expressed confidence on Friday that the party will achieve a century this time around due to its ten years of hard work and the vote “looks quite easy to pass.”Ms. Kavitha, Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao’s daughter, stated in a PTI interview that while there may be anti-incumbency sentiment in some areas, people are generally not “angry” with her party, BRS. She ruled out the idea of a hung legislature ahead of the state elections on November 30.
For BRS, Congress is a faraway threat and the BJP is nonexistent in the state. Kavitha, a Legislative Council member for the ruling BRS party, expressed confidence in securing a century of seats out of the 119 assembly seats in the next
election. With 88 seats gained in the 2018 Assembly elections, BRS led by Chief Minister KCR—is aiming for a third term in office.
Ms. Kavitha downplayed worries about anti-incumbency sentiment, pointing out that although there may be isolated instances of discontent, the public is not unhappy with the party as a whole. She emphasized the party’s emphasis on goals and the ongoing Telangana feeling, saying that accomplishments come second to sentiments. The BJP is seen as not in competition and is expected to suffer further setbacks, while the Congress is seen as a threat.Ms. Kavitha highlighted the party’s partnership with AIMIM and denied any understanding with the BJP. She criticised Telangana BJP’s performance and denied any connection to the accusations surrounding the Delhi liquor scandal.
