Shefali Jariwala, who gained fame from the popular music video “Kaanta Laga” and her participation in “Bigg Boss 13,” suffered a cardiac arrest on Friday night and passed away at the age of 42.
Following her cardiac arrest, she was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Parag Tyagi, her husband, took her to the hospital immediately after the incident. Shefali’s remains were moved to Cooper Hospital around 12:30 am for a post-mortem.
Cooper Hospital’s Assistant Medical Officer (AMO) stated that the body in question was brought to Cooper from another hospital and added that only a post-mortem report can provide accurate details on the death.
As part of their investigation, Mumbai Police visited Shefali’s residence in Andheri around midnight. Simultaneously, a forensic team also arrived to conduct their own search of the house. It is concerning that police and forensic teams are already present as this suggests that foul play is suspected, although no formal press release has been made regarding the circumstances of her death.
The statement given by Mumbai police reads, “Her body was found at her residence in the Andheri area. Mumbai Police received information about this at 1 am. Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for post-mortem. The cause of death is not yet clear.”
