Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji starrer “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” which got released in 1998 is one of the most successful movies of those times and it is one of those films which helped SRK in earning the title of King of Romance.
The flick was directed by Karan Johar and showed how an 8 years old young girl unites her father with his best friend and got them married as it was her mother’s last wish. Salman Khan played a cameo in the movie as he was the fiancé of Anjali (Kajol). In the end, SRK and Kajol got married and Salman got friend-zoned which didn’t go well with many people who asked what the fault of Salman’s character was that he had to go through such a painful experience.
Recently, Kajol gave an interview in which she talked about “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” and her character and she seems to be on the same platform with those viewers who are not happy with the treatment that Salman’s character got.
If you remember, in the first half of “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, Kajol’s character was tomboyish and in the second-half, she was seen in traditional Indian dresses but during the interview, Kajol said that her version of Anjali would never have worn traditional clothes, in fact she would have continued wearing the same type of clothes but little expensive ones in which she would have looked good.
She also added that on the script level, she would chose to marry Salman’s character instead of Shah Rukh’s character but in the movie, there was no choice regarding the ending.
