The Indian actress turned politician Kangana Ranaut is currently busy campaigning for Lok Sabha elections as she is fighting elections from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh on the ticket of Bharatiya Janata Party.
As Kangana is busy with elections, her acting profession has taken a backseat and recently her production house released a statement as per which the release of Kangana starrer Emergency has been postponed. The movie which was earlier scheduled to release on 14 June is based on the life of the former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Kangana has not only played the lead role but she has also directed the film.
The statement by Kangana’s production house, Manikarnika Films read, “Our hearts are filled with love filled with love pouring in for our queen Kangana Ranaut. As she prioritises her duty to the nation and her commitment to serve the country, the release date of our much awaited film ‘Emergency’ has been postponed. We promise to update you soon with a new release date. Thank you for your continued support. We promise to update you soon with a new release date. Thank you for your continued support.”
The movie also stars Anupam Kher, late Satish Kaushik, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, etc in important roles and this is not the first time that its release has been postponed, earlier it was slated to release last year on 24 November but got delayed due to changes in schedule.
