Kapil Sharma Recalls When He Became Bankrupt After Producing Two Movies

In a recent interview, Kapil Sharma discussed the challenges he faced when he ventured into film production. The comedian revealed that this transition came with unexpected financial setbacks, causing his bank balance to deplete entirely after he produced two films. Reflecting on the experience, Sharma said, “Mera dimaag kharab hogaya. Maine do filmein bana diya…one never becomes a producer with just money.” His words highlighted the significant gap between having financial resources and having the necessary production expertise.

Sharma acknowledged that producing movies demands a unique set of skills beyond capital investment. He admitted that he underestimated the distinct mindset and training required in film production. His attempt to produce movies resulted in a substantial financial loss, pushing him toward a phase of personal and professional hardships.

During the same conversation, Sharma mentioned his wife, Ginni Chatrath, who stood by him during this challenging time. He expressed how her support helped him navigate his depression and overcome the difficult period, which was influenced by various aspects of his life beyond financial strain.
