Kapil Sharma shines in a drama for the first time in Nandita Das’ Zwigato releasing on March 17. The movie also stars Shahana Goswami with Sayani Gupta and Gul Panag in special roles.
The second trailer of the movie shows Kapil playing a food delivery agent who loses his job as a factory floor incharge and takes up this new job. He delivers food to different people, clicks selfies with them and strives to get a five-star rating. His wife, played by Shahana, also starts a new job, something that Kapil is not very happy about.
Soon, his ratings take a nosedive and he struggles to understand the cause. Zwigato had its world premiere at the 47th Toronto International Film Festival in September 2022, followed by Asian premiere at the 27th Busan International Film Festival and was also screened at the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).
