One of the most versatile actors of the industry, Ajay Devgn appeared in the latest episode of the talk show Koffee With Karan and during the show, Ajay and Karan recalled their days of working with the actor Amrish Puri.
The famous producer-director KJo stated, “I have to tell you, my father and Amrish ji (Amrish Puri) come from the same village, so the first person my father told me whose feet I had to touch was Amrish ji’s.”
In response, Ajay Devgn also made a revelation, “The only person whose feet I have touched is also Amrish ji because the first shot I took with him, I touched his feet.”
After this, Karan Johar revealed why he was traumatized by Amrish Puri while working as an AD in movie, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. He said, “So I used to be very scared of him. When I was an AD on Dilwale, he was particular about detailing. He would come and say, ‘What is the time?’ I gave the time. I thought he was asking me the time. Then he said, ‘What is the time in London? At what time is the scene? So that I set my watch accordingly.’ About the continuity, he said, ‘How should I drape my shawl?’ I used to be traumatised by him. He was such a wonderful man.”
