From his beginnings as a television star to his recent debut at the Cannes Film Festival, Karan Tacker’s career exemplifies both his talent and his strong connection with audiences. The actor, who attended Cannes for Tanvi the Great, recently opened up about the inherent disadvantages faced by those outside the film industry when attempting to compete with established film families.

Tacker specifically highlighted the hurdles he encountered transitioning from television to film, particularly during a period when the industry was not actively promoting many new faces.

In an interview, Karan Tacker asserted that newcomers often must relentlessly seek opportunities before securing a chance. “As an outsider, you can’t compete with actors from the film family because they have a lot going for them, while they might have their own challenges, which I wouldn’t really know about. But they get a lot of padding,” he explained. He further elaborated on the access and guidance afforded to industry insiders: “They can pick up the phone on a whole lot of people if they want, and get an advice on whether they should attempt a script or they shouldn’t, somewhere as an outsider, you have to go out there and build those relations maybe with seniors from the industry or people you have faith in and ask advice.”

The 39-year-old Special Ops star noted that outsiders are frequently compelled to take calculated risks early in their careers to establish a foothold. “So somewhere I feel, as outsiders, the first chunk of your entire career, you are only trying to find your bearings within the industry. And it’s post after that, you know what’s happening, and you know enough people who can be there and guide you through it,” Karan shared.

Karan has certainly revealed the truth of the showbiz industry.
