Karan Veer Mehra Talks About His Bond With Sushant Singh Rajput, Has One Deep Regret

In a recent interview, Bigg Boss 18 winner Karan Veer Mehra opened up about his close bond with Sushant Singh Rajput and how the late actor played a crucial role in his life and career. Karan Veer recalled that Sushant was a turning point in his life, helping him overcome alcoholism during a difficult phase.

The two actors became good friends while working together on the popular TV serial Pavitra Rishta. After the show, Karan Veer went through a rough time when he met with an accident and turned to alcohol. It was Sushant who stepped in and helped him get back on track. Remembering Sushant’s support, Karan Veer shared that he lifted him out of that dark phase.

Sushant always encouraged him and even praised his acting skills, telling him he was better than him. Karan Veer was surprised by such a statement from one of the top stars in the country. Sushant would often tell him that if he had been given the same opportunities, he would have done even better. This praise gave Karan Veer a unique sense of confidence, something he felt even family members couldn’t instill in the same way.

Through Sushant, Karan Veer also got the chance to meet casting director Mukesh Chhabra. Sushant would often call him out of the blue, inviting him to parties and arranging everything for him. Their bond went beyond professional connections, and Karan Veer cherished the moments they spent together.

However, one deep regret continues to haunt him—he wasn’t there for Sushant when he probably needed him the most. He admitted feeling guilty about not being in touch with Sushant before his tragic passing in 2020.

Last month, Karan Veer Mehra won Bigg Boss 18, defeating Vivian Dsena to lift the trophy.
