We often encounter unusual cases involving spouses, typically centered around contentious divorces or disputes over money. One such case gaining traction online involves a woman who allegedly married seven times, extracting money from each of her husbands. A courtroom video discussing this case has recently surfaced and is drawing significant attention.
The 1-minute 26-second clip, shared on X by the user @DeepikaBhardwaj, sheds light on the woman’s scheme. According to the tweet accompanying the video, the unnamed woman married seven times and secured maintenance payments from six of her former husbands. The case currently being discussed in court involves her seventh husband.
The video opens with a conversation between the judge and the lawyers, who ask preliminary questions related to the case. It is revealed that the woman lived with each husband for a period ranging from six months to a year before filing 498A maintenance cases against them. The judge, clearly frustrated, remarks, “You are playing with the law.” As the clip ends, the judge assigns a new date for the case and orders authorities to gather detailed information about each of her previous marriages. The lawyer then mentions that her earlier cases were settled out of court.
The tweet says, “Serial 498a accuser. A woman in Karnataka has married 7 times. Stayed with each max 1 year. Filed 498A, Maintenance cases on all. Taken money from 6 husbands. Now fighting the case with 7th. Despite having all records with him, MiLord not sending her to jail. Jai ho equality.”
