Karni Sena Chief’s Murder Suspect Named, Land Dispute in Focus”

The leader of the Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, was shot and murdered inside his Jaipur house on Tuesday by an unidentified attacker. Two of the suspects have been named by the police.

Nitin Fouji, a resident of Mahendragath in Haryana, is one of the accused; the other is Rohit Rathore, a native of Makrana Nagaur. According to sources, Naveen Shekhawat, Rohit Rathore, and Nitin Fauji met with the Karni Sena commander under the guise of presenting a marriage card.

Three days prior, Naveen rented an SUV for Rs 5,000 a day in order to carry out the murder. The vehicle was rented from a Malviya-Nagar-based agency. The vehicle was unrestricted by the accused at Gogamedi’s house. The presence of alcohol bottles inside the car has been confirmed by reliable sources.

There are reports that the murder may have been the consequence of a land dispute. Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the leader of the Karni Sena, was allegedly involved in land conflicts with Rohit Godara.

Godara, a well-known mob figure associated with Lawrence Bishnoi, took credit for the assassination shortly after the Karni Sena chairman was assassinated.

But the authorities are looking into the issue in other ways as well. Notably, Vijendra Singh, a real estate dealer, passed away in the previous year. The Karni Sena head was close to the accused. In retaliation for that murder, the authorities are also looking into this one.

In response to the death of their leader, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi on Tuesday, the Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena and other community organizations demanded a state-wide bandh in Rajasthan on Wednesday. The community called for a judicial investigation into the situation through the bandh.

The assailants were shown on camera drawing their firearms and shooting randomly at Gogamedi, who was seated on the couch across from them before collapsing. One of the attackers fired a close-range shot at a lifeless Gogamedi, who was lying on the ground, before running away. The attackers, who had gone to Gogamedi’s home in the Shyam Nagar neighborhood under the guise of seeing him, wounded one of his security guards with a gunshot, according to the police.
