Actor Parvin Dabas has been admitted to the ICU at Holy Family Hospital in Bandra, Mumbai, after a car accident on Saturday morning. His wife, actress Preeti Jhangiani, is by his side as doctors conduct various tests. According to a source, “Doctors have carried out all the tests, and his wife, Preeti Jhangiani, is with him at the hospital.”
The Pro Panja League, co-founded by Dabas, released an official statement on the incident:”We regret to inform that Parvin Dabas, co-founder of the Pro Panja League, has been hospitalised and is in the ICU at Holy Family Hospital, Bandra, following an unfortunate car accident in the early hours of Saturday morning. Details of the incident are still emerging, but we can confirm that Mr. Dabas is currently receiving medical attention. Our thoughts are with Parvin and his family during this challenging time. The Pro Panja League management is closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as appropriate. We kindly request privacy for Mr. Dabas and his loved ones. We wish Parvin a swift and complete recovery.”
In a separate statement, Preeti Jhangiani stated:“My family and I are in shock and cannot speak much at the moment. The medical update so far is that he has a serious concussion, and doctors are conducting CT scans and other tests to assess if there is further damage. Right now, he cannot move much. He had been working late hours due to his league commitments and had the accident while driving in the early morning.”Parvin Dabas began his acting career with Dillagi in 1999 but gained widespread recognition through Mira Nair’s critically acclaimed Monsoon Wedding (2001). He has since appeared in films such as The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, Khosla Ka Ghosla, where his performance was particularly praised, and Ragini MMS 2. Dabas has also ventured into Malayalam and Kannada cinema during his career.
