Kunickaa Sadanand Spills The Tea On Akshay Kumar’s Bollywood Affairs

Veteran actress Kunickaa Sadanand has made some intriguing revelations about Akshay Kumar’s appeal in Bollywood. In a candid interview, she opened up about why women were drawn to him, attributing it to his undeniable charm and peak fitness. According to Kunickaa, Akshay was one of the fittest stars in the industry and continues to maintain his dashing looks even today.

“He (Akshay Kumar) used to be so handsome and fit. He still is. He is one year younger than me. They work hard. Akshay was one of the fittest guys in the industry,” Kunickaa said in an interview. She also delved into the science behind his fitness, explaining that testosterone levels play a key role in maintaining physique and energy levels.

Having worked with Akshay Kumar in multiple films, including the 1992 hit Khiladi, Kunickaa has witnessed his rise to superstardom firsthand. However, the interview took a darker turn when she reflected on the struggles faced by women in Bollywood during the 90s. She claimed that back then, women from “respectable” families often hesitated to join the film industry due to the rampant misconduct they had to endure. Even lighting technicians, she revealed, would make inappropriate advances towards actresses, making the profession an unsafe space for many.

Sharing a deeply personal experience, Kunickaa recounted how her hairdresser would always stay with her in her room to ensure her safety. “After shooting, it was like the ‘hungry lions’ would come out, roaming around outside. While some people maintained their dignity and called to ask for me in the evening, others were more aggressive,” she revealed, painting a grim picture of the film industry’s past.

Kunickaa Sadanand has had an extensive career in both film and television, leaving her mark on some of the most popular shows in Indian entertainment. Her impressive filmography includes Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani, Zindagi Ki Mehak, Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha, and Kumkum Bhagya. As she continues to reflect on her journey, her insights serve as a stark reminder of how much Bollywood has changed—and how much remains to be improved.
