On Friday, Lava released two new mobile phones, Storm Play 5G and Storm Lite 5G, powered with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7060 chipset. Both will be purchasable on Amazon later this month for below 10,000 rupees. Alongside the phones comes a primary back camera of 50 megapixels and a battery of 5,000 mAh. The Lava Storm Lite 5G features MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 SoC. The Play and Lite versions were released with the Storm 5 model which was introduced in December of 2023.
Pricing and Availability of Lava Storm Play 5G and Storm Lite 5G in India
Lava Storm Play 5G will be selling for ₹9,999 in India for the single variant of 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Meanwhile, the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant Lava Storm Lite 5G is available for purchase at ₹7,999. Both smartphones will be listed for sale on Amazon in the country. The sale for the Play version begins on June 19 at 12 noon IST and the Lite variant will commence on June 24.
Features and Specifications of Lava Storm Play 5G
Lava Storm Play 5G boasts a 6.75 inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7060 SoC, coupled with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The device will be shipped with Android 15 out of the box.
As for the optics of Lava Storm Play 5G, it will have a sony IMX752 50 megapixel primary rear camera alongside a 2 megapixel secondary lens. The phone sports an 8 megapixel camera for video calls and selfies. It also has a singular speaker unit.
The Play variant’s 5,000mAh battery supports 18W USB-C wired charging
As for protection, this device is fingerprint resistant and has a protective grade of IP64 against dust and splashes.

The Lava Storm Lite 5 G includes 4GB of RAM, a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 CPU, and has a storage capacity of 128GB, which is otherwise known as built-in storage. It has a selfie camera of 5 megapixels and supports a 15W wired charging. Moreover, the Storm Play 5G model shares all features with regards to the display, battery, construction, operating system, and the primary camera.
