The Lenovo Legion 9i was unveiled Thursday at Tech World Shanghai 2025. The Intel Core Ultra 9 processor powers it with PCIe Gen 5 SSD and DDR5 RAM. It may be set up with a GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU, which can support 280W of power when combined with the processor. Lenovo outfitted the Legion 9i for effective heat dissipation with a Legion Coldfront Vapour thermal system. It has an 18-inch 240Hz PureSight screen with optional 2K 3D capability and a maximum resolution of 4K in 2D.
Lenovo Legion 9i Price and Availability
At launch, the Lenovo Legion 9i costs EUR 4,499, or around Rs 4,32,000. Beginning in June 2025, it will be sold in Europe, and in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2025, it will be sold in North America. The business has not yet disclosed that only one Carbon Black color option will be available for purchase, including a free three-month Xbox Game Pass subscription.

An 18-inch 4K (3,840 x 2,400) LCD screen with a refresh rate of 240 Hz, a maximum brightness of 540 nits, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage is included on the Lenovo Legion 9i. The monitor has Nvidia G-Sync compatibility and is certified by TUV Rheinland, Dolby Vision, and VESA DisplayHDR 400. Another screen variation that supports 2K 3D (1,920 x 1,200 pixels) and 4K 2D (3,840 x 2,400 pixels) resolution is also offered.
The company claims an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, up to 64GB of dual-channel DDR5 RAM, and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen5 SSD storage power the gaming laptop. It permits up to 192GB of RAM and 8GB of storage expansion. It is compatible with Windows 11 Pro. An Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU with a maximum processing power of 175W is compatible with the chipset. The CPU and GPU can deliver up to 280W combined for optimal performance.
The Lenovo Legion 9i boasts a Coldfront Vapour thermal system that includes a quad fan system, a vapor chamber, and a hyper chamber. It is believed to contain specialized fans for the SSD, RAM, and Wi-Fi card to enhance heat dissipation during graphically demanding operations. Even at 280W in performance mode, this solution keeps the laptop quieter than 48dB.
The laptop’s Lenovo AI Core CPU and Lenovo AI Engine+ cooperate to optimize performance on tasks like gaming and rendering by modifying settings according to user scenarios. Additionally, the Lenovo Legion Space uses AI to synchronize the RGB of the laptop with the on-screen graphics and in-game sound, with the help of its Nahimic audio six-speaker sound system. Additionally, it comes with several AI-powered gameplay capabilities dependent on software, including Coach, Game Clip Master, and Game Companion.
