Mahavatar Narsimha box office

‘Mahavatar Narsimha’, directed by Ashwin Kumar, is subtly making a name for itself at the box office. Although it didn’t garner much attention before its premiere, the animated epic has been attracting viewers ever since, particularly those interested in its mythological concept.

The Sacnilk website reports that within its first four days of release, the movie made Rs 16.02 crore (India net) in all languages. Despite the slower start of its regional adaptations, its performance shows a growing interest in animated narrative based on Indian mythology.

From modest beginnings to a spectacular weekend spike

“Mahavatar Narsimha” made a respectable Rs 1.75 crore on its first day of release. The Telugu version added Rs 35 lakhs, but the Hindi version donated the majority of this amount, Rs 1.3 crore.

At Rs 5 lakhs, Rs 2 lakhs, and Rs 3 lakhs, respectively, the Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam dubs got off to far slower starts.

With a sharp increase to Rs 4.6 crore on Saturday and an even greater spike to Rs 9.5 crore on Sunday, the movie had its best day to date.

Monday was slow, but overall things are going well

As anticipated, Monday saw a sharp decline, with Day 4 revenue for the movie coming in at just Rs 17 lakhs. However, considering that it earned a total of Rs 16.02 crore in just four days, the movie was performing well.

The fact that an animated epic, a genre that is still establishing its place in mainstream Indian cinema, is performing well at the box office is especially remarkable. Although its long-term trajectory cannot yet be predicted, Mahavatar Narsimha’s weekend surge indicates promise.

The movie received positive reviews

Positive reviews abound on Twitter. According to one tweet, “(Rating: 4/5). I saw the Majesty of the Narasimha in the Maha Avatar Narasimha movie. First of all, I want to commend the animation team for their outstanding work in creating intricate settings and expressive characters. “#MahaAvatarNarasimha is not just a film; it’s a divine experience,” says another review. A heavenly homage to the strong guardian! Magnificence meets mythology. An unadulterated devotion to cinema. Bravo to @hombalefilms for creating a cinematic universe based on all ten Avatars of Vishnu.
