Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan recently faced a serious threat, with a man threatening his life and demanding a significant ransom. The suspect, identified as Mohammad Faizan Khan, was apprehended by police in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. This incident has raised concerns, especially given SRK’s previous encounters with security threats.
Faizan Khan, a lawyer from Raipur, reportedly made the death threat against Khan earlier this month. According to sources, he contacted Mumbai Police, claiming to be outside Khan’s residence, Mannat, and demanded Rs 50 lakh. When he failed to respond to police summons, a team from Mumbai was dispatched to Raipur, leading to his arrest.
The suspect reportedly made a direct threat over the phone, stating, “I am calling Shah Rukh Khan from Mannat Bandstand. If he doesn’t give me ₹50 lakh, I will kill him.” Upon further questioning, he stated, “If you want to mention, you can write my name as Hindustani,” leaving his motive unclear.
Following the threat, Mumbai Police registered a case against an unidentified caller under several sections and this case adds to the series of security concerns surrounding Shah Rukh Khan, who has been the target of similar threats since the success of his recent films Pathaan and Jawan.
Previous Security Concerns Shah Rukh Khan has been under increased security since last year, following reports of threats tied to his major film releases. Due to the ongoing security concerns, he was granted Y+ security status, which includes personal protection by trained security personnel.
