Manoj Tiwary Wants To Ask MS Dhoni This One Hard-Hitting Question

It is a dream of every aspiring young cricketer to play for the country, while few get the chance to make it to the national team, very few are able to cement their place for a long time in the team and this statement holds absolutely correct for the Indian team as well.

Cricketer turned politician Manoj Tiwary is a great cricketer if we talk about the domestic circuits but he was not able to repeat his success at the international level. Recently, he led his Bengal team to victory against Bihar in a Ranji Trophy match at Eden Garden and during an interview, he talked about his biggest regret and the question that he would like to ask the former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni.

Debuted in 2008, Manoj Tiwary played 12 ODIs and 3 T20Is and surprisingly, he was dropped from the team for 7 months after he scored a century in a match.

He said, “I want to hear from him whenever I get the opportunity. I will definitely ask this question. I would like to ask Dhoni why I was dropped from the team after scoring the century, especially in that tour of Australia where nobody was scoring runs, neither was Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma or Suresh Raina. I have nothing to lose now.”

Manoj Tiwary is also not happy with the fact that he never got a test cap, he said, “When I had completed playing 65 first-class matches, my batting average was around 65. The Australia team had toured India then, and I had scored 130 in a friendly game, then I scored 93 against England in a friendly game. I was very close, but they picked Yuvraj Singh instead. So Test cap and the fact that I was ignored after getting the Man of the Match award for scoring a hundred…I was ignored for 14 straight matches. When self-confidence is at its peak and someone destroys that, it tends to kill that player.”

Can you tell what can be the reason behind Manoj Tiwary getting dropped?
