The Indian cricketer Shubman Gill has been playing quite well for his team Gujarat Titans in the ongoing IPL 2023 and yesterday in the match against Punjab Kings, he was the highest scorer for his team as he played a knock of 67 runs (49 balls, 7 fours & 1 six) and helped his team in successfully chasing the target of 154 runs. Though the match was a close one and GT needed 6 runs on 4 balls, it was Rahul Tewatia who took his team home as the winner by hitting a four on the bowling of Sam Curran in the last over of the match.

The former Pakistani cricketer Ramiz Raja is also highly impressed with the Indian batter as he praised the GT opener in a video on his official YouTube channel. Ramiz Raja said says Shubman Gill has a lot of potential and time and it looks naturally beautiful when he plays his shots. Ramiz further says that it really doesn’t matter whether Shubman plays his shots on the on-side or off-side, whether he plays a hook or pull, it is always neat, clean and beautiful. Ramiz Raja adds that there are many who predict that Shubman Gill will be the next top Indian batter after Virat Kohli, adding that he has the elegance, class and touch of the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and his temperament is also quite strong.

Ramiz concludes by saying that he has dominated the bowlers in all the formats and when you see him batting, it seems as if the time has stopped.

We certainly agree with Ramiz Raja that sky is the limit for the young GT opener, what do you think?
