Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta Platforms Inc., had surgery to repair a knee injury he had while practicing mixed martial arts. Zuckerberg claimed to have torn a knee ligament while practicing mixed martial arts in an Instagram post. To prepare for a “competitive MMA fight early next year,” the 39-year-old is undergoing training.

“I tore my ACL training and recently had surgery to replace it,” Zuckerberg captioned a shot that included many images of him in a hospital bed with a brace on his knee.

Zuckerberg started MMA in the midst of the outbreak. Since then, he has developed an octagonal boxing ring in his garden, taking his commitment beyond casual. At Woodside High School on the Peninsula, Zuckerberg won gold and silver medals in his first Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament in May.

The billionaire said that “sparring got a little out of hand” when he shared a picture of himself last month that showed two black eyes and a battered nose.

In the summer of this year, after a heated social media discussion between the two tech billionaires, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, and Mark Zuckerberg agreed to a boxing battle.
