There is nothing wrong in having a desire to marry the woman of your choice but things can turn disastrous if you are already married, employed to a government job and resort to religious conversion.
The wife of a state government employee has filed a complaint against her hubby as she alleged that he has converted to Islam for the purpose of getting married to a Muslim woman. The name of the person is Ashish Gupta who has now changed his name to Mohammad Yusuf and he was posted as Naib Tehsildar in Maudaha in Uttar Pradesh.
Ashish Gupta was removed from his post yesterday and he was attached to the collectorate as prima facie he has been found guilty of breaching the employee code. Dr. Arun Mishra, ADM Hamirpur stated, “He (Ashish Gupta) has been removed from his post and attached to the collectorate till further notice.”
UP Police has also swung into action and arrested three people on the basis of the complaint made by Gupta’s wife as these three are said to be responsible for helping in conversion. UP Police has also launched a search operation for the woman whom Ashish Gupta wanted to marry.
As per the reports, Ashish Gupta took charge of Naib tehsildar in Maudaha in September but controversy started after a mosque caretaker informed the administration that a non-Muslim named Mohammad Yusuf is coming for reading namaz.
The inquiry started after that only but it gained speed after Gupta’s wife filed a complaint.
