Manoj Kumar Sharma showed unwavering dedication and perseverance to become an IPS officer. He was once a twelfth fail, and drove tempos, but is now callled Singham and Simba by others.

UPSC candidates who want to enter IAS and IPS must be resilient and diligent in their studies despite challenges in life. Successful people are those who do not let their personal problems to get in the way of their objectives. Even though he had failed class 12, IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma showed unwavering dedication, as he succeeded in passing one of the toughest exams in the nation to become an IPS officer. His inspiring success story truly motivates young people.

Manoj Sharma is a native of the Morena region of Madhya Pradesh. He had always envisioned himself as an IAS official. Sadly, he did not pass grade 12. Additionally, he got the third division in Classes 9 and 10. With the exception of Hindi, Manoj failed every subject in class 12.

Despite experiencing several failures, Manoj never lost faith in himself. He kept working toward his goal and started preparing for the UPSC, the most prestigious exam in the country.

Manoj wrote about his experiences in a book called “Twelfth Fail.” In it, he asserts that he drove tempos in Gwalior to support himself when he was a student. His family’s financial situation was so bad that he didn’t even have a roof over his head. However, he was able to win because of his persistent struggle.

While working as a library peon in Delhi, he read biographies of many famous people, including Gorky, Lincoln, and Muktbodh. After reading such novels, he became aware of life’s facts.

At the UPSC, Manoj Kumar Sharma made four attempts in a row. He had failed in his first three attempts, but on his fourth attempt, he was successful in getting an All India 121 rank and becoming an IPS. He is now the Additional Commissioner of Mumbai Police. A domineering personality has led to Manoj Kumar Sharma, an IPS, being referred to as Singham and Simba by others.
