Moushumi Chatterjee Says Amitabh Bachchan Changed After Success & That Was…

Veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee recently spoke about Amitabh Bachchan’s journey to stardom and how it changed him. Moushumi, who worked with Amitabh in films like Benaam (1974), Roti Kapda Aur Makaan (1974), and Manzil (1979), reflected on his transformation in an interview.

She revealed that Amitabh faced significant struggles early in his career but hinted that his rise to superstardom altered him in ways that might not have been entirely positive. “Amitabh Bachchan worked very hard to achieve his success. But I can’t say if he changed for the better. Fame makes people act differently, and they might not even think about helping others,” she remarked. Moushumi Chatterjee also recalled how Amitabh’s brother, Ajitabh, used to arrange a car to pick him up from film sets. She described Amitabh as a quiet person who often ate lunch alone with his hairdresser.

Moushumi Chatterjee and Amitabh Bachchan were last seen together in Piku (2015). At that time, Moushumi praised his work ethic and discipline, saying he still worked with the enthusiasm of a newcomer. “Even at 72, Amit was as eager as ever. If you told him to be ready at 6 am, he would be on time. His punctuality and dedication are remarkable,” she told Hindustan Times.

Her comments offer a glimpse into the contrasting sides of Amitabh Bachchan’s illustrious career.
