The IPL team Chennai Super Kings played their last league match at Chepauk stadium against Rajasthan Royals after which the former CSK skipper MS Dhoni along with his teammates took a lap of honour of the venue and thanked their loyal fans.
Most probably this is the last IPL of MS Dhoni as a player; it was being said last year as well but after winning the IPL 2023, Mahi promised the fans that he would surely play for one more year just for them and he kept his words. Though MSD underwent knee surgery just after the IPL 2023 got over, as per some reports he is still in pain due to injury and he is playing despite the fact that doctors have advised him rest.
Once again people have started speculating on the matter of MS Dhoni’s future with CSK and recently during a show, Harbhajan Singh and Ambati Rayudu shared their opinion on this matter.
Bhajji stated, “He’s the owner of the team. Uske marzi ke bina waha patta bhi nahi hilta. It’s his team. He has given his blood, sweat and everything to this team. He will always be a part of the CSK group, whether as a mentor or as a coach. He’s everything over there. You will definitely see him in the CSK dugout in the coming seasons. Maybe not as a player but in some other capacity, but he will be there with the players.”
Ambati Rayudu supported Bhajji as he said, “Bhajji Paa rightly said that it’s his team. He developed the culture that’s there at present. He has been nurturing players in that franchise and he is definitely going to be there, for sure.”
