Navjot Singh Sidhu, the former cricketer-turned-politician, has been in the spotlight following his recent return to television as part of The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show. Speculations about his re-entry into active politics gained momentum after a press conference at his residence in Amritsar.
When asked about his political future, Navjot Singh Sidhu emphasized that the decision rested with his party leadership. “It is my high command which can reply, I cannot,” he said, as reported by Free Press Journal.
He reflected on his independence in various fields, including cricket, commentary, motivational talks, and television. “For this, I was not depending on anybody,” he explained, but pointed out that political decisions are guided by the party’s high command. “What decision high command takes, it is their parties (it is up to them),” he added.
Sidhu’s comments indicate a willingness to return to politics but reaffirm that any such move would depend on the direction from his party leadership.
