Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan is certainly one of the biggest blockbusters of the Indian cinema as the movie has already earned Rs. 900 crores worldwide and it is still earning at a good rate. The film has been directed by Atlee and it also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, etc. in important roles. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has an extended cameo in the movie and her role has been appreciated by the audiences.
While Nayanthara was the main female lead in Jawan, Deepika’s character was presented in a more elevated manner and the way in which Nayanthara’s character was treated has left the southern actress a little upset. As per the reports, Nayanthara is not happy with Atlee and she was absent from all the promotional events and also from the success meet which was attended by SRK, Anirudh R, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Riddhi Dogra, etc.
A source told a news daily, “She has been very upset with Atlee because her role was chopped in the film. Also, Deepika’s (Padukone) character was elevated and Nayanthara’s part was significantly sidelined.”
Talking about Deepika’s role, the source stated, “It was not a cameo at all. Jawan was almost made to look like an SRK-Deepika film. Nayanthara is the leading actor down south, and hence, she was not happy with the treatment of Jawan. And that can never well be the reason why we might not see her in a Bollywood project, at least not anytime soon.”
Well, let’s see how Atlee or SRK will react to these reports.
