On Thursday, August 29, in the Diamond League final in Zurich, Neeraj Chopra was unable to duplicate his 2022 achievement. He lost to German Julian Weber, who went on to win the title. Weber’s javelin throw of 91.51 meters set a new world record and personal best. Weber had previously thrown the farthest this year, 91.06 meters.

This was Neeraj Chopra’s second Diamond League final, it is worth noting. By throwing 88.44 meters, he won the title in Zurich in 2022. Anderson Peters of Grenada defeated him with a throw of 87.87 meters.

2024 Brussels:- Neeraj was only a centimeter away from winning the title. Anderson Peters of Grenada, who won bronze at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, earned his first Diamond League title with a throw of 87.87 meters. Third place went to Julian Weber, who threw 85.97 meters.
