As Israel’s military prepares for a ground invasion on Thursday, the country’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged to drive out Hamas from Gaza, A peaceful resolution of the Israel-Palestine conflict is necessary for world peace…

The military of Israel prepared for a ground invasion with over 3,60,000 men, but a senior military officer claimed the political leadership has not still decided.

A lieutenant colonel media spokesperson said forces “are preparing for a ground manoeuvre if decided.” The Colonel said the war-torn government has activated 3,60,000 army reserve personnel and threatened an extraordinary response to Hamas’ violent, broad infiltration over the weekend.

According to the media, Hamas struck Gaza on Saturday, as its terrorists have fired tens of thousands of missiles into Israel. Netanyahu had earlier that day said every terrorist group member would be killed and promised to “wipe out the name of Hamas from the Earth.” “Hamas is ISIS – We will crush and eliminate it as the world crushed and eliminated ISIS,” he told X.

He also linked Hamas to ISIS and promised to wipe out the militant group’s name, just as the world has eliminated militant Islamist terrorist organisations.

Remember that the struggle is in its sixth day. Gaza saw 1,200 Israeli deaths and a strong Israeli response. According to government estimates, approximately 4,000 people have killed since the conflict began on October 7, Saturday.

The religion ‘Islam’ signifies ‘Peace’ and the faith opposes terrorism and killing innocent people. However, Hamas claims that their attacks on Israel are necessary to safeguard the Palestinian people from Israeli aggression and oppression. Hamas claims their attacks are valid protests against Israeli tactics including the Gaza embargo and West Bank settlement development.

However, many believe Hamas’s attacks on Israel are useless and counterproductive. They say Hamas’s strikes have escalated Israeli casualties and made regional peace harder. They further claim Hamas’ assaults have disproportionately hurt Palestinian civilians. In response to Hamas attacks, Israel bombed Gaza. These bombings killed and injured Palestinian residents and damaged Gaza’s infrastructure.

In spite of all the crimes and atrocities that the Israelis have committed so far in Palestine, many world leaders are supporting Israel. The UN has called for a truce after Hamas attacked Israel. EU and US condemn Hamas’ violence and urge them to stop.

But, it should be noted that the cause of Palestine is just, as they fight for self-determination and independence on their own territory. Palestinians have been denied basic human rights since 1967 under Israeli control.

A Jewish state in Palestine is the Zionist movement’s motivation for the Palestinian struggle. Over 700,000 Palestinians were removed in 1948, creating Israel. The Israelis have occupied Palestinian land, built a wall, and extended its boundaries, generating a humanitarian disaster. Moreover, Gaza’s blockade has worsened things.

The Israel-Palestine conflict seems to be deeply linked to the Aqsa Mosque, which was the original Muslim prayer direction before the Kaaba in Mecca became the Kiblah of the Muslims. It is Islam’s third holiest location after Mecca’s Masjid al-Haram and Medina’s Masjid an-Nabawi.

But, the problem is that the Aqsa Mosque is also a Jewish sacred site. Jews and Muslims have fought for the Aqsa Mosque for years. Israel took over Jerusalem’s Old City, including the Aqsa Mosque, in 1967. Israel has ruled Old City and Aqsa Mosque since.

But Palestinians adore the Aqsa, as it represents their national identity and self-determination. Palestinians also claim the Israeli control of the Aqsa Mosque threatens religious freedom and self-determination. They want all Muslims to pray at Aqsa under Islamic rule.

Conclusion

Muslims and Jews revere the Aqsa Mosque, thus world peace requires a peaceful resolution of the Israel-Palestine conflict. Jews and Muslims have fought for the Aqsa Mosque for years. Israel took over Jerusalem’s Old City, including the Aqsa Mosque, in 1967. Since then, the Jews, through Israel, have controlled the Aqsa Mosque. But, as the mosque originally belongs to the Muslims they want the Aqsa Mosque to be returned to them.

Moreover, the Palestine cause is just because all Palestinians deserve self-determination and independence. They deserve respect and independence without occupation or brutality.

Whether Hamas’s attacks on Israel are justified is a difficult topic to answer. But, one thing is sure that Israel must be stopped from committing its atrocities and injustices in Palestine. The conflict between Israel and Palestine must be ended and most importantly the cause of Palestine must be supported .
