Never pressurize your child: This family celebrated after their son got 35 marks in all his Class 10 Board Exam subjects

The Karad family of Thane, Maharashtra stands out in a society where board exam results are often dominated by high test scores and academic achievement. Their son, Vishal Karad, scored just 35 marks in all the subjects in his Class 10 (SSC exams), but still the family celebrated.

As parents, we all want our children to succeed and do well in school. However, it’s important to remember that putting too much pressure on them to achieve high grades can have negative consequences. While it’s natural to want our children to excel, it’s important to keep in mind that every child is different and has their own unique strengths and weaknesses. Pressuring your child to get straight A’s can lead to stress, anxiety, and even depression. It can also create a negative attitude towards learning and cause them to lose interest in education altogether.

Parents frequently experience stress when they are informed about the results of their child’s 10th grade board test. While some parents eagerly anticipate the results and wish for their child’s success, others develop a serious academic performance obsession.

The Karad family of Thane, Maharashtra, stands apart in a society where talks about board exam results are frequently dominated by high test scores and academic achievement.

The Karad family falls into a distinct category than some parents, who frequently dismiss their children’s ability to meet demands. They see the importance of passing the examinations and decide to commemorate this achievement rather than focusing just on getting exceptional grades.

Vishal Karad, a student at a Marathi-medium school, has given his parents a great deal of happiness and pride by passing his SSC exams with a minimum pass percentage of 35 in all six courses. Vishal already had a lot of obstacles from life, which made his academic career difficult.

Just before the start of Vishal’s 10th grade academic year, his family moved to Uthalsar, Thane. Vishal is the son of an autorickshaw driver and a domestic servant.
Despite severe financial difficulties, Vishal’s father’s unrelenting dedication ensured that he attended school and commuted despite the challenges.

Vishal’s chances of success were quite slim. He questioned if he would be able to pass the examinations given the difficulties he had previously experienced. He was able to endure, nonetheless, because to his parents’ continuous support and encouragement.

His resolve to achieve was motivated by their unfailing faith in his ability. Despite coming from a lowly home, Vishal has a remarkable desire to better not just his own life but also the lives of his parents.

He aspires to continue his education and use it as a springboard to provide his hardworking and devoted parents a brighter future. Many parents may be congratulating their kids on their good test scores, but Vishal’s father stated, “For us, Vishal’s 35% holds a lot of importance, as he has done us proud by clearing his SSC exams.”

The narrative of the Karad family serves as a reminder that success may also be determined by kids’ work, progress, and resiliency rather than only by their test results.

We wish all the best to Vishal in his educational and professional journey. Vishal Karad is a son of an auto rickshaw driver and a domestic servant in Uthalsar, Thane. His family moved to Uthalsar due to financial difficulties, but Vishal’s father’s dedication ensured he attended school and commuted despite the challenges.

Vishal scored just 35 marks in all the subjects in his Class 10 (SSC exams), but still the family celebrated. This serves as a reminder that success is determined by a child’s work, progress, and resiliency, and we should celebrate even the small victories that  we and our child achieve.
