Nia Sharma Breaks Silence On Bigg Boss 18 Withdrawal, Says “It Was Colors’ Decision”

Television actress Nia Sharma made waves when she was announced as the first contestant for Bigg Boss 18 during the finale of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. However, fans were left in shock when Nia revealed on October 6 that she would not be participating in the reality show. Now, in an exclusive interview, Nia has finally addressed the confusion and offered clarity on what led to her withdrawal.

Nia explained that she had been slated to join Bigg Boss 18, but a last-minute decision by the network altered those plans. She shared, “It was Colors, and I was informed at the very last minute. I was supposed to be part of the Laughter Chef integration, but by the time they announced it, Laughter Chef got cancelled.” This unexpected development left Nia in a peculiar position, as her participation had already been hyped, but she handled it with grace, stating, “The whole thing was to create buzz, and I think they succeeded.”

Nia made it clear that the decision was entirely the network’s, and she bore no ill feelings towards them. “If they’re doing something using my name, it’s completely alright. I have two shows with them, and I respect their planning,” she added, emphasizing her continued collaboration with the channel.

Despite the sudden change, Nia appreciated the attention the announcement brought her way. “The hype was huge, and I enjoyed it,” she remarked, before humorously adding, “Until someone actually does Bigg Boss, people don’t give a f*ck.” The excitement surrounding her potential participation reaffirmed her popularity, even though she ultimately chose not to join the show.

However, her withdrawal did not come without its downsides. Nia shared that some fans expressed disappointment, with a few sending hate messages. Despite this, she chose to focus on the positive, saying, “I felt I owed an apology to my fans for not going, but I take it in my stride. It was fun to experience that level of hype again.”

Reflecting on the entire episode, Nia also touched on how her public image has evolved, mentioning, “It was beautiful hype and a review that I saw myself after a very long time. Other than that, it’s all about my clothes, it’s how I dress up, how naked I am all the time about my cleavage. It’s time we moved on from there, and I think after Laughter Chef quite a lot has changed.”

Nia’s candid remarks provided much-needed clarity on her decision, and while fans may be disappointed, the actress continues to embrace the positive attention and remains focused on her future projects.
